Police asking for help finding suspect who shot at car on Sunday

State Police are asking the public for help finding the person who shot at a vehicle on Route 25 North near Exit 2 early Sunday.

State Police received a report around 1:30 Sunday morning that a 2015 Toyota Corolla was shot at. The driver did not see any flashes from a firearm, but police say believed the gunshots came from a white four door sedan, unknown make and model.

Troopers were able to confirm that the Corolla had been struck by multiple projectiles.

About 5 minutes later, Bridgeport police received a report of gun shots in the area of Ellsworth Street and Fairfield Avenue.

State Police is unknown if the two incidents are related.

Anyone who locates a silver Toyota hubcap or one 2-inch by 3-inch passenger side mirror black trim plate, or has any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Trooper Corona or Troop G-Bridgeport at 203-696-2500. All calls will be kept confidential.
