Errante/Cho Trio performs free concert at Pequot

The Errante/Cho Trio will perform for the public in a free concert Saturday, May 16, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., in Pequot Library’s Auditorium/Concert Hall.

The Errante/Cho Trio, comprised of Richard Errante, violin, Lois Errante, cello and Kyong Hee Cho, piano, is well-known to Connecticut audiences for its committed music-making and creative programming. Performing together since 2001, they command a wide-ranging repertoire, from traditional masterworks to tangos.

In addition to a series of concerts under the auspices of the Wilton Arts Council, they have presented numerous benefit concerts supporting the Wilton Library, the Pequot Library, the Unitarian Church in Westport, and humanitarian causes around the world. Cellist Lois Errante remarks, “We are so delighted to celebrate the Pequot Library with two trios that have long inspired us. I love how Brahms and Schubert transformed the music they heard on the streets of 19th Century Vienna into profound and timeless masterpieces.”

This year the Trio will be performing A Night in Vienna with Schubert and Brahms celebrating outstanding music programming at Pequot Library. Admission is free and open to the public. The program consists of Brahms Trio in C Minor and Schubert Trio in E-Flat.
