Allman, Neville & Pitchell join forces to perform at StageOne

The Fairfield Theatre Company presents a night of music for the ages, as they welcome Jeff Pitchell, Grammy Award winner Charles Neville, and rock prodigy Michael Allman to StageOne Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m.

This unique bill of some of the finest talent will bring the best parts of blues, New Orleans Swamp, and of course Southern rock to the intimate StageOne venue, for an unforgettable evening!

Starting the night will be one of Blues’ greatest undervalued guitar players, Jeff Pitchell. Pitchell, who has spent over two decades building a career for himself,  mixes his signature blend of blues that’s reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, and Jimi Hendrix, but with a twist of  soul. Having received the Best of New England Music Award, for his signature style, Jeff has also received high praise for his song “Eye for an Eye”, which won the International Songwriting Contest and was then recorded by the legendary bluesman John Mayall, who taught legends like Eric Clapton and Mick Taylor.

Having performed with just about everyone on the circuit- from The Allman Brothers, and BB King, to J. Geils, and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead; Pitchell will show those in attendance how to get this party started off right, with his in your face showmanship and ripping guitar playing, that will leave those who may have never heard of him before asking the question, “how have I never heard of this guy, he’s amazing!”

But this night isn’t just about one man.  Joining Pitchell will be Grammy Award winner Charles Neville, the second oldest Neville Brother. Charles Neville, the Grammy Award winning sax, flute, and vocalist from the world famous “First Family of Funk”, continues to bring his signature ethereal performances all over the world including at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Having performed on the “The Today Show,” “Oprah,” “Saturday Night Live,” “Tonight Show,” “Letterman,” just to name a few, it’s no question as to why legends like Ray Charles, James Brown,  Santana, The Grateful Dead, and a slew of others see him as one of the most sought after musicians to perform with.

But the night isn’t over yet. And what better way to close out the night then by welcoming Michael Allman, the eldest son of Gregg Allman, (American rock and blues, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer)who not only sounds like his father, but is a mere splitting image of him as well. Michael will show to an energetic crowd that he is not just a musician using his father’s legacy to make a name for himself as he performs original material, with his own very distinctive style of rock, that touches upon his roots of rock and blues. But being the son of a legend it’s hard not to cover some of his father’s classic hits as well.
