Dance students help hospitalized and special needs children

The Connecticut Dance School in Fairfield will be hosting “Dance Across America” for the fifth year in a row on the weekend of April 25.

Dance Across America is a nationwide event held in support of the Andréa Rizzo Foundation, which provides dance and movement therapy to hospitalized and special needs children. The student run fund-raiser has generated more than $18,000 in donations over the past four years. There will be several events dancers may participate in during the weekend of the event.

Young dancers, aged 3-7, will have the opportunity to attend a “Princess Party” complete with crafts and dancing, and all are invited to come dressed as their favorite princess Saturday April 25, from 12:15-1 and 1:15-2 p.m. A minimum donation of $20 is required to participate.
