McKinley School kicks off carnival at Jennings Beach

The McKinley School PTA kicks off its annual McKinley Elementary School Carnival Friday, April 24, at Fairfield’s Jennings Beach. The town-wide event runs for three days, through Sunday, April 26.

The carnival offers traditional rides suitable for toddlers to adults among many other attractions, through the PTA’s ongoing partnership with Stewart Amusements. Fairfield’s own restaurant, Chilibomb, will offer hamburgers, hot dogs, and chili. Funnel cake, fried dough, and fried Oreos also will be offered as well as face painting and henna by Animate My Face.

Wristbands to ride all rides will be sold for $25 throughout the carnival.

The Carnival is the school’s biggest fund-raiser and the PTA uses the proceeds to help fund cultural enrichment programs and sponsor educational field trips for McKinley Elementary School.

Carnival dates and times are: Friday, April 24, 6-10 p.m. (Wristband Night); Saturday, April 25, 1-10 p.m. (Separate day and night wristbands from 1-6 and night wristbands from 6-10); and Sunday, April 26, 1-5 p.m. (Wristbands all day).

For more information, contact the carnival co-chairs, Gene Hoffman or Jill Kellerman.
