Pequot Library’s “Write Us Your Story” contest starts

Celebrate National Library Week 2015 (April 12-18, 2015) with the theme “Unlimited possibilities @ your library®.” First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.

Today’s libraries are more than just books and Pequot Library exemplifies that. During National Library Week Pequot Library offers 12 programs for all age groups, plus enter the “Write Us Your Story” contest to win a $50  gift certificate to the Summer Book Sale and an invitation to the Preview Party.

The contest starts April 1 and is open to all ages. It explores what you have learned or created at Pequot Library. What literature, art, music, science, or humanities program has inspired you the most and why? What do you love about Pequot Library and how does using its resources promote “Unlimited possibilities @ your library®.” 250 word minimum/500 word maximum, email your entry by April 18, to [email protected] or drop it by the Front Desk. The winner will be selected in a random drawing.
