Last call for entries for IMAGES photograph competition

The Fairfield Museum and History Center announces its final Call for Entries for the seventh annual IMAGES photography competition and invites professional/serious amateur and student photographers from Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts to participate. The deadline for entries is Thursday, April 2, at 9 a.m.

IMAGES, a highly-regarded exhibition to celebrate the exceptional work of talented regional photographers, will kick off at the Fairfield Museum’s spring gala  May 14, 7-10 p.m. and will be on view through July 19. In addition to the juried show, IMAGES 2015 will also feature a solo exhibition by internationally renowned photographer Howard Schatz, in celebration of his remarkable 25-year career that celebrates the human form in portraits and studies in motion.

Categories for this year’s juried photography show include Landscape, Portrait, Architecture, Nature, and Abstract. Photographers may submit up to 10 images under one of two categories: Professional/serious amateur ($10 entry fee per image) or student less than 24 years of age ($5 entry fee per image). All competition entries must be submitted online at fairfieldhistory.org/exhibitions-2/images/. For more information, call 203-259-1598.
