Ludlowe students place first in Junior Achievement challenge

Students from 16 area high schools recently competed in the 2015 Junior Achievement High School Business Challenge held at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business.

Using the computerized simulation of a manufacturing firm, teams analyzed the model, strategized and worked to beat the clock in each round. Decisions on pricing, marketing, research and development, and capital investment in a competitive, dynamic environment had to be logged. Teams had to operate by themselves without input from coaches or teachers.

The Fairfield Ludlowe High School team took first place for the second time, having won the 2014 Challenge, as well. Each student on the winning team won a $1,000 scholarship.
