CT Audubon: Evening spring peeper prowl

What’s teeny tiny, seldom seen, but often heard?  Give up? It’s the Spring Peeper Frog! Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street will host an Evening Peeper Prowl Friday, April 10, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Listen for Spring Peepers in the marsh and look for more secretive animals like spotted salamanders and frogs, as well as the shy and increasingly rare woodcock.

Boots, flashlights and warm attire are strongly suggested. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Cost: $6 for CAS members, and $8 for nonmembers. Advance registration required by April 8. Call 203-259-6305, ext. 109.

Visit Connecticut Audubon Society’s website at ctaudubon.org for a complete list of spring programs and special events.
