Anne Tack

Anne Tack will again serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals — Fairfield County as vice-president of communications.

She lives with her husband, Jim, and daughter, in Fairfield.

Tack is the principal at Tack Writers, a grant writing firm. She founded Tack Writers because she wanted to use her expertise as a Writer to make a difference in the world. Her ability to tell a nonprofit’s story about its services and mission in a clear, persuasive and inspiring manner is the backbone of the success of Tack Writers. Each year, her company raises millions of dollars for worthy causes that serve youth, seniors, and other underprivileged individuals in Connecticut, New York City, throughout the country and world.

Tack also is an active volunteer in her community and serves, currently, on the Strategic Planning Board of the Fairfield Public Library, the Wellness Committee of the Fairfield Public Schools, Fairfield PTA Council’s (Fairfield Arts for Youth Co-Chair), and the Wakeman Town Farm Board of Advisors in Westport.

The AFP Fairfield County Chapter provides regular professional development opportunities and networking for those involved in fundraising, either vocationally or as volunteers. Monthly luncheons with featured speakers are held the first Thursday of every month from September to June at The Norwalk Inn and Conference Center in Norwalk.

To learn more about the activities of the AFP-Fairfield County chapter, or to register for the luncheon, visit the chapter’s website at afpfairfield.org or contact Administrator, Marianne Hickey: [email protected]

The Association of Fundraising Professionals International, of which AFP Fairfield County is a part, represents nearly 30,000 members in more than 213 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.  The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.  For more information about AFP, please visit afpnet.org.
