People's Bank will sponsor free museum admission

People’s United Bank will again sponsor free admission at the Fairfield Museum and History Center every Monday and Tuesday in 2015.

“We are very pleased to continue our support for another year,” said Armando Goncalves, Senior Vice President and Market President, People’s United Bank. “We hope that our sponsorship will allow children and families from Fairfield and its neighboring communities to learn more about our unique history here.”

The Fairfield Museum and History Center, a regional cultural center, welcomes more than 18,000 visitors and provides educational programming to more than 5,000 students annually. Among the exhibitions currently on view is “Mobilizing the Home Front: Posters from World War II,” shown in honor of the 70th anniversary of VE Day. Featured are posters incorporating strong messages and striking visuals by some of the country’s top artists and illustrators.

Begin Your Week Exploring the Past with People’s United Bank will cover the cost of regular admission for all museum visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is normally $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors.

“People’s United Bank shares the Fairfield Museum’s strong commitment to community and education.” said Michael Jehle, Fairfield Museum Executive Director. “Their generous support gives families in our region wider access to the museum’s extraordinary exhibits and programs.”
