GFA booters win big

The Greens Farms Academy boys soccer team defeated the Wooster School 9-2 last week.
Wooster started the scoring to take an early lead, but GFA answered with three goals.  Wooster scored again to make it 3-2 before GFA scored twice for a 5-2 advantage going into the half.
The second half was all GFA, as the team scored four times to make the final 9-2.
The victory was a total team effort with senior Munir Qaddourah scoring four goals and three assists, while senior Spencer Hartig notched four goals and one assist.
Senior captain Clay Garner added a goal and sophomore Griffin Garner contributed two assists. Freshman Seth Henriquez also had an assist.
The defense was led by seniors Ryan Friend, Van Barnett and Anders Forfang, and juniors Conor Eckert, John Lawrance from Southport and Leo Filgueiras.
Also contributing defensively were seniors Seth Krantzler, Mike Shepard, junior Sam Hodge  from Fairfield and Wyatt Cook.
Juniors Brendan Bieder  from Southport, Eric Dexheimer and freshman Charlie Mounts helped take care of the midfield while senior Justin Arzi and sophomore Dugald Shannon were dangerous up front.
