Warde wrestlers win East for 10th straight year

The Fairfield Warde wrestling team completed its dual meet season with a 69-6 victory over Brien McMahon of Norwalk on Tuesday.
With the win, coach Jason Shaughnessey’s Mustangs (21-2), ranked fifth in the state, clinched the FCIAC East Division title for the 10th consecutive year.
Warde won 13-of-14 matches with eight pins.

170 pounds: Niki Flores (M) pins Jack Whiting 3:10
182 pounds: Aaron Addotey (W) wins 14-6 major decision over Capone
195 pounds: Jordi Proskinitopoulos (W) pins Garcia :30
220 pounds: John Ocana (W) wins 8-2 decision over Stumpf
Heavyweight: Tyler Mazut (W) wins 7-1 decision over Hersey
