Field training officers study leadership skills

On Jan. 22, Paul Maloney, program director for the applied psychology program in Fairfield University’s Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions, (third from left) presented a Leadership Styles workshop for 15 field training officers from the Town of Fairfield Police Department.

The officers studied leadership skills that would be effective in their ever-changing work environment and used case studies and role play to assess their own styles and receive feedback from Dr. Maloney and their peers. The daylong workshop took place at the University’s Alumni House.
