Sacred Heart Academy junior recognized by National Center for Women

Quinn_KathleenCongratulations to Kathleen Quinn, class of 2016 selected as an Affiliate Award winner of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Award for Aspirations in Computing.

Recognized for her computing-related aspirations and for her demonstrated, outstanding aptitude and interest in information technology/computing; solid leadership ability; fine academic history; and plans for post-secondary education, Katie will now be afforded future opportunities for scholarships, internships, and research experiences provided by NCWIT member organizations.

Katie is the daughter of James and Deborah Quinn of Fairfield.

Sacred Heart Academy, an independent college preparatory school founded in 1946 by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus successfully prepares young women in grades 9-12 for learning, service and achievement in a global society. The Academy has an enrollment of more than 500 students hailing from New Haven, Fairfield, Middlesex, Hartford and New London counties.
