Libraries host 'Food for Fines' drive

The Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, and Pequot Library will be hosting a “Food for Fines” drive beginning Saturday, Feb. 7 through Saturday, Feb. 14.

For eight days only, the libraries will waive fines on overdue materials in exchange for food items to benefit the Operation Hope Food Pantry. For each overdue library item returned Feb. 7-14, the libraries will forgive all associated fines in exchange for a single food item listed on the Operation Hope website at operationhopect.org/help/. This does not apply to overdue Library museum passes, damaged materials, or items that have already been billed for replacement.

The Main Library, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, and Pequot Library will gladly accept donations even if there are no fines to be waived.

For more information call 203-256-3160, or visit fairfieldpubliclibrary.org. Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: www.twitter.com/fairfieldpublib and Facebook: www.facebook.com/fairfieldlibrary.
