Fairfield Theatre Company welcomes 'Rent' Broadway star

You don’t need to wait 525,600 minutes to see one of the best performers to ever grace the Broadway stage thanks to the Fairfield Theatre Company who are welcoming Adam Pascal to StageOne on Friday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 pm., 70 Sanford Street.

Born in the Bronx, but raised in Long Island, Adam Pascal knew he wanted to become a musician ever since the age of twelve, when he first fulfilled his fantasies by playing with his schoolmates; emulating Rock icons like Pink Floyd, Queensryche, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. However his first break didn’t come from playing the music of his heroes, it came from a completely different musical genre–theater.

In 1996, Adam tried out for the then the unknown, off-Broadway production of Rent. After landing the role of Roger Davis, Adam’s world was transformed forever. In 1996 Adam was nominated for Best Actor (Musical) at the Tony Awards, and won a Drama League and Obie award for his performance as Roger. As theater fans are well aware, Rent went on to become a worldwide success and one of the longest running shows in Broadway history.

Yet, such fame proved to be a double edged sword, and Adam’s success in theater proved to be a bit of a liability when he returned to performing rock music and was pigeonholed as a Broadway singer. In 2000, Adam both released his first solo album, Model Prisoner, and went back to the stage which helped launch his career; casted as Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice’s new Broadway musical Aida.

But still with rock in his heart and soul, Adam now comes to StageOne in support of his latest release entitled Blinding Light. Joining Adam will be Larry Edoff, an accomplished producer, bandleader, singer/songwriter, composer, and pianist who has performed with and written music for such great artists Tony Bennett, The Count Basie Orchestra, Vinny Valentino, Matt Garrison, John Benitez, Jarrod Cagwin, Adam Rogers, Joel Rosenblatt, Jeff Andrews, Bill Moring, Steve Wilson, Richard Bona, El Negro and of course Adam as well as many others. Fans get ready to hear one of the world’s greatest voices in one of America’s best and tiniest rooms as Adam comes now to StageOne to share his craft to the lucky few who are able to get tickets. Get ready for a night of songs from Broadway classics as Rent, Les Miserables, Chess, and Chicago, but that’s not all. Get ready as Adam will rock the intimate room with some of classic rocks, greatest songs including Led Zeppelin, Queen and some of his own originals.

If you missed Idina Menzel last time FTC did a show like this, then you will not want to miss this opportunity to see one of Broadway’s biggest award winners in such an intimate space.
