Fairfield police honored for traffic safety

AAA Southern New England-CT recently honored the Fairfield Police Department with a Gold Award for the its traffic safety programs, including mock crash investigations, a DUI impact panel and the Living Streets program, which provides education about sharing the road for pedestrians, bicyclists and motor vehicles.

In addition, AAA recognized Sgt. Robert Kalamaras as a department-nominated Traffic Safety Hero for his efforts to expand department initiatives promoting vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian safety.
