Band Together performs benefit concert at Fairfield Theatre Co.

Band Together will be back together for another one of its charity music concerts Friday, Dec. 5 at the Fairfield Theatre Company at 7:30 p.m. The event benefits the CT Challenge, the Southport-based organization that provides support for cancer survivors.

The concert features country and southern soul performed by Band Together leader Rob Fried, along with a group of musicians including country music recording artist Nicole Frechette, Pete Francis of Dispatch and Drew McKeon, who has toured with Jimmy Buffett, Hall & Oates and many others.

Survivors from the recent music and healing workshop that Fried conducted at the CT Challenge’s Center for Survivorship will be invited to perform a song onstage with Rob at the concert. The song was composed at a similar workshop in the spring and refined by Rob.

Band Together is a Fairfield, CT-based non-profit whose concert series brings together local musicians with industry headiners to perform in ensembles covering a wide range of music genres to benefit local charities.

Tickets for the show are $29 and may be purchased at fairfieldtheatre.org or ctchallenge.org.
