Fairfielder joins Make-A-Wish board

Make-A-Wish Connecticut recently appointed Dan Sullivan of Fairfield to its Board of Directors.

Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and the Connecticut chapter grants more than 180 wishes each year. Sullivan currently serves as the chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance for Ahold USA, a Dutch-based corporation that operates supermarkets in the United States and Europe.

Prior to joining Ahold USA, Sullivan spent 12 years at Heineken, most recently as the CFO and chief operating officer. While at Heineken he also served as the CFO for Heineken International, based in the Netherlands, where he and his family lived for
three years.

“This is the right moment in my personal and professional life to be involved with such a wonderful organization,” Sullivan said.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to gain broad financial, operational and strategic experience while working both in the US and abroad, and I’m excited to bring these experiences to Make-A-Wish. I’m personally excited to be a part of such a wonderful organization.”

Sullivan and his wife, Renee, have two children, Paige and Benjamin.
