Beach party broken up

Colin McLinden, 21, was arrested late last Friday night for hosting an “unreasonably loud” party, according to police reports.

Police were called to the scene by multiple complaints from neighbors shortly before midnight about a loud party at a Lantern Point residence.

Officers arrived to find the house crammed with more than 100 people standing shoulder to shoulder, with an additional 20 people outside on the deck, police said. McLinden reportedly asked them for assistance in removing people from the party, agreeing that it was too crowded.

McLinden, whose residence was listed as Morristown, N.J., was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 24.
