Campus intruder damages building

FS-WP-FPD-SIGN

Fairfield University security officers called police late Friday, Nov. 14, when a non-student at a campus party began acting strangely, got into an argument, and punched a hole in a closet door, causing approximately $300 in damage.

Townhouse residents escorted the man, Dante Ellis, of Tarrytown, N.Y., out of the dorm. Ellis, 18, subsequently refused to provide identification to campus security, who were advised by passersby that Ellis had been causing problems.

Fairfield police arrested Ellis at approximately 3 a.m. and brought him to police headquarters, where he was charged with criminal mischief and warned not to return to campus. Ellis is due in court on Nov. 28.
