Attempted burglary on Hilary Circle

FS-WP-FPD-SIGN

A resident of Hilary Circle called police at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, to report an attempted burglary he said had just happened.

The resident told police a man wearing a black ski mask and black clothes tried to open the sliding doors to his basement, but waved and ran away when he saw the owner through the glass doors. The owner said the would-be burglar ran off in the direction of the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course, according to the report.

Police observed footprints in the grass near the house leading to woods. They set up a perimeter but saw no one matching the description given by the homeowner.
