Rick Derringer headlines benefit concert

Musician, writer and producer Rick Derringer will be the featured artist in the “A Night of Music” rock concert at Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Net proceeds from the concert will benefit The Lebo-DeSantie Center for Liver & Pancreatic Disease at St. Vincent’s Medical Center.

The program also includes performances by The Alpaca Gnomes and The Doug Wahlberg Band.

Event begins at 6 p.m., with refreshments, a cash bar and a silent auction, followed by the concert at 7. Attendees who purchase the $100 ticket will get a meet and greet. Other concert ticket holders may attend the meet and greet for an additional $10.

The Black Lillies

The Black Lillies are coming to the Fairfield Theatre Company, Sunday, Dec. 14. Doors open at 7 p.m., and show starts at 7:45 p.m.

Described as Grassroots bluegrass with a subtle twang, The Black Lillies are a modern take on country.

New Riders of the Purple Sage

The long-awaited return of The New Riders of the Purple Sage to the Fairfield Theatre Company, Sunday, Dec. 28. Doors open at 7 p.m., and show starts at 7:45 p.m.

Having originally featured most of the members of the Grateful Dead, The New Riders of the Purple Sage brings honor to psychedelic country/rock, a genre they helped create.
