Fairfield native and Wakeman Boys and Girls Club Program Director Rich Lee helped the team capture this year’s World Series title by going 8-0 during the week-long tourney.

Members of the local Connecticut Top Hats Travel baseball team, who won a National championship in 2011, merged this year with players from North Carolina and Washington D.C. and played as the DC Express.

Fairfield native and Wakeman Boys and Girls Club Program Director Rich Lee, along with Bob Manowitz from Trumbull, Wally Hurd from Norwalk and Jim Pelligrino from Orange, helped the team capture this year’s World Serie’s title by going 8-0 during the week-long tourney.

Lee collected MVP honors after pitching 22 innings and earning three wins, including a complete game in the championship tilt played on Saturday, Nov. 15.
