Police: Women hid purloined items in strollers

Claudia Fernandez, Kiara Ferandez and Nora Perdona — all of Bridgeport — were arrested Nov. 7 after trying to steal items from Marshalls by hiding them in baby strollers, police said.

The three women allegedly took $339 in goods from Marshalls in Fairfield, and placed the items in two strollers occupied by their children, aged four and ten months, before attempting to leave the store without paying.

The women were charged with larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, and risk of injury to a child, and were released on promises to appear in court on Nov. 19.
