Incumbent Republican Brenda Kupchick easily beat Democratic challenger Kevin Coyner in the race for 132d District representative, winning 3,514 of the district’s votes to Coyner’s 2,399.

In her victory speech,Kupchick, who has held the seat for two and a half years, told the crowd of Republican supporters gathered atFlipside Restaurant Tuesday night, “We’re going up to Hartford and we’re going to make a real difference of what happens in this state.”  She ended her speech with a call to action: “Let’s turn this state around.”
