2014 Fairfield League of Women Voters Guide

Contains information from candidates in races for state office

The League of Women Voters of Fairfield submitted questions to candidates for the State Senator and State House of Representatives candidates wishing to represent Fairfield residents. Responses by candidates were limited to character counts as indicated below. All responses are printed, unedited, in this Voters Guide. All candidates whose official filings were received by the Secretary of State’s office as of September 16, 2014, were invited to respond to questions. Candidates are shown in the order in which they appear on the ballot.

In addition, for those voters wishing additional information on candidates for state-wide races and for the 4th Congressional District, a summary table has been included detailing their names, web sites, and the political parties whom they represent.

Finally, a question appears on the November ballot regarding allowing the Legislature to at least consider removing some/all restrictions from absentee balloting. The wording of this question, together with a short list of pros and cons, appears in this Voters Guide.
