High School sports roundup

Lindsey Adam and Erin Hines scored second-half goals to lift the Fairfield Warde field hockey team to a 2-0 victory over visiting Fairfield Ludlowe on Monday.
Riley Thompson made 17 saves for Ludlowe (1-3).
Adams had an assist and Katy Stepsis got the win in goal for Warde (3-1-1).
Erin Hines and Megan Hines scored the goals when the Mustangs were edged out, 3-2, at Greenwich High on Sept. 12.
Stepsis made eight saves in the season opener for both teams.
Ludlowe volleyball
Fairfield Ludlowe defeated Trinity Catholic, 3-0, in Stamford on Monday.
Jaime Quinn had six aces, six kills and four digs for the Falcons against the Crusaders (1-3).
Kelly Rotondo led the attack with 11 assists while Emily Nelson had five kills and five digs in the 25-19, 25-12, 25-18 win.
Warde boys soccer
The Mustangs played New Canaan to a 2-2 draw on Monday.
Alex Landau and Matt Petroccio scored goals for Warde (2-3-1) against the unbeaten Rams (5-0-1).
Kyle Millington and Landau had assists.
Steven Bartlett made eight saves.
Landau scored three goals, Mike Foley two, and Thomas Luckner one to help Warde to a 6-2 victory over Bridgeport Central on Sept. 13..
Griffin Pugh, Jake Mappa and Stuart Peters notched assists.
Bartlett and Mike Kathein combined in net to make five saves.
Ludlowe boys soccer
Manuel Barrel scored a first-half goal off an assist from Jason Fromme to give Ludlowe a 1-0 victory over Trumbull High on Monday.
Ryan Arrigo made four saves for Ludlowe (3-3) to blank Trumbull (3-3).
Tobias Gimand and Eric Winjum scored two goals each to lead Ludlowe boys soccer team to a 6-1 victory over Bridgeport Central on Saturday.
Mark Dubovski and Henry Kreitler also tallied for the Falcons (2-3).
Eric Stahle had two assists, while Steven Katz, Fromme and Barral added helpers.
Arrigo made six saves.
Prep soccer
Fairfield Prep defeated host Hamden High, 3-0, in a battle between SCC unbeatens on Saturday.
David Bigley, Ryan Orvis and Davie Brutton scored goals for the Jesuits (3-0-1).
Darragh Kelly and Bryce Keblish had assists.
Will Steiner stopped two shots by Hamden (3-1).
Notre Dame girls soccer
Emily Wonsiewicz scored two goals and Bryanna D’Arcangelo and Alicia Berard had one each when Notre Dame defeated Kolbe Cathedral, 4-0, on Sept. 17.
Jasmine Fuller had an assist and Lauren Berard made seven saves for the Lancers.
Ludlowe girls soccer
Lindsay Zilling scored four goals and Emily Matis had two when Ludlowe defeated Stamford 6-0 on Monday.
