Devlin will bring accountability, principles to the legislature

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor:

I’ve been involved in serving our community for many years. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many talented individuals who answered the call to serve our community.

Laura Devlin is one of those memorable people who got involved for altruistic reasons, because she has a deep love for our town and wants to make significant contributions to make our town and state strong again.

A daughter of a World War II veteran, Laura learned early on the values of civic responsibility and giving back, and as a member of the Fairfield Representative Town Meeting, Laura knows what it’s like to make challenging and difficult decisions that put people first.

When I see Laura campaigning and engaging in a thoughtful dialogue, she reminds me that more and more of our elected leaders need to stand on principle as she does and have the ability to listen to others and to be thoughtful.  Too many legislatures seem more concerned about the next election instead of the next generation.

In a few weeks, we will have the opportunity to vote for accountability and to vote for Laura Devlin who will bring common-sense principles to the legislature. She will work to end the tax and spending principles that have crippled Connecticut and fight to make our state a place where people aren’t forced to move from once they retire.
