Fourth-degree sexual assault and breach of peace were the charges May 25 against a Branford man.

Patrick Myers, 44, of 45 Jefferson Road was arrested after police received reports from a woman who said she was inappropriately touched by Myers, who was her personal trainer at the time.

During a gym session, Myers began to make sexually explicit comments to her, which she found offensive, according to the report.

At the end of the training session, the two walked out of the gym at the same time and Myers reached out and grabbed her in an intimate area; she pushed his hand away and immediately left, according to the report.

The victim reported the incident the next day to the manager of the gym.

During the course of this investigation, a concerned citizen said there may be a second victim from another local gym where Myers had worked at as a personal trainer.

A search and seizure warrant revealed a history of disciplinary action for Myers’s treatment of clients and co-workers, police said.

A background check of Myers revealed that he is a convicted felon, with a history of arrests of similar nature, dating back to 1988.

Any person with information regarding these cases should contact the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.

Bond was $5,000 for court June 6.
