What does a public servant look like?

To the Editor:

Many of us would be hard pressed to answer this question today.

Recently, I found a true public servant who is alive and well, embodied in the person of Tony Hwang.

Tony assisted me with an important issue; spending time to understand the facts and then contacting the necessary individuals to get resolution.

What is so unusual about this? It’s very simple. Tony is not my representative, nor did I know him previously. Only after the problem was resolved did I learn that Tony was not my representative, and yet, that did not influence his decision to help me.

Tony is truly a man of the people. I was fortunate to meet Tony. I hope that you have the same good fortune, and I hope you’ll join me in supporting him to be our next state senator.
