Indie folk band The Last Bison returns to Fairfield Theatre Co.

Fairfield Theatre Company welcomes back the seven-member ensemble, The Last Bison, to StageOne on Friday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m., 70 Sanford Street.

With complex arrangements, refined lyrics, and intricate vocal harmonies, The Last Bison have drawn comparisons to many of indie music’s superstars including Mumford & Sons, The Decemberists, and the Fleet Foxes. Crafting a sound that is threaded with their own signature strands of creativity. Songs like ‘In Your Room,’ ‘Switzerland,’ ‘The Woodcutter’s Son,’ and ‘River Rhine’, are like a textured poetic wave.

TLB are led by Ben Hardesty, a guitarist who fell in love with music at a young age after his father gave him his first instrument at the age of two, telling him, “It doesn’t matter if you play it right, just make it sound good!” Not the typical teaching method, but then again, Ben and The Last Bison are anything but typical.

Coming back to StageOne in support of their most recent project VA, a new album that harvests a more dynamic and anthemic sound from the soil of their folk roots. Fans get ready as the Last Bison will bring a night of new music for an eager crowd. Fall in love with their traditional mountain-top chamber folk sound and, and the new age edginess that will captivated the national music scene.

For tickets, at $25 with a $3 member discount, visit fairfieldtheatre.org or call 203-259-1036.
