Finance board member supports sending Kupchick to Hartford

To the Editor:

Last spring, I was proud to second the nomination for Brenda Kupchick to continue her service to our town as the state representative for the 132nd District.

As a Board of Finance member for the past 8-plus years, I have had the privilege of working with many dedicated and talented people in government. Brenda is at the top of that list. Her hard work, common sense, dedication and commitment to serving our community is unmatched and greatly admired by all who have the opportunity work with her.

Too often, we see people in government that are afraid to speak their mind, speak truth to power or take the longer term view. Brenda is not one of those people.

In all the time I have known her, Brenda has not made the politically expedient choice, (or always the most popular choice). She has made the decision that she thought was best for Fairfield and for our state.

For these reasons, Brenda is the person I want representing me in Hartford. She is exactly the type of representative our state desperately needs given the financial challenges we confront — a representative who is willing to make the right decision, not just for today, but for tomorrow.

I am proud to support Brenda for re-election and I hope she has your vote as well.
