Believes Coyner is the best choice to represent 132nd in Hartford

To the Editor:

Over the past few years, I have gotten to know Kevin Coyner, candidate for state representative, 132nd District, and am very impressed with his background.

Kevin was raised in a political family and is a lifelong Democrat. When he lived in Greenwich, he was elected to serve on the Representative Town Meeting.

There are several good reasons why Kevin is uniquely qualified to represent Fairfield up in Hartford, however. Most notably, he has served as a legislative assistant in the U.S. Senate and has written legislation at the national level.

In addition, Kevin has had both public and private sector experience, has worked for both large and small companies and has held both union and non-union, as well as both local and international positions in business.

A BA in economics and an MBA in international business led him to a career as a trade representative in Asia for the state of Alaska and as a corporate bond and options trader in Tokyo and New York. Kevin has been lucky to have lived in a number of countries throughout the world.

In seeking a more stable lifestyle, he turned to public service, first as a volunteer firefighter, and is currently employed as a Greenwich firefighter, work that he finds very personally rewarding. Kevin is also known for his accomplishments in computer technology and has a degree in fire science technology.

For all of these reasons I urge you to vote for Kevin Coyner for state representative in the 132nd district on Nov. 4.
