A Fairfield teenager got stuck in a bush while running from police Friday night.

Police were called to Davis and Grandview roads by an area resident who reported vandalism to her mailbox. According to the police report, a group of male youths ran when they spotted the arriving officer, and one of them, a 14-year-old, became entangled in a bush during the chase.

After talking to the officer, the boy used his cell phone to call two of the boys who had fled and persuade them to come back to the scene.

Police said one of the group, who were all juveniles, was in possession of a half-full bottle of vodka.

The boys were released to their parents without being charged.
