Diner dust-up

Employees of the Andros Diner called police early Saturday morning when six customers allegedly got into a fight. Employees told responding officers at approximately 2:30 a.m. that three customers — two women and a man — picked a fight with three other customers seated at a nearby table. When one of the women from the first table lunged at a woman at the second table, the argument turned physical, with all six diners involved in the fight.

The three aggressors, two of whom were from Bridgeport, and one from Naugatuck, allegedly left the diner without paying. A third table of diners reportedly also left without paying.

Using a license plate number taken down by a witness, Fairfield police identified the owner of the car as a Bridgeport resident, and called on Bridgeport police to track down the aggressors. According to the report, Bridgeport police took the male aggressor into custody on an active warrant.

One of the women located by police returned to the diner to pay the tab for both her table and the other table that skipped out on its bill.

No parties pressed charges.
