Prize giveaways at SEPTA special ed provider fair

The Fairfield Special Education PTA (SEPTA) is hosting a special needs service provider and resource fair on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the McKinley Elementary School gym, at 60 Thompson Street, Fairfield.

The fair is open to all, and will offer parents and guardians of children in Fairfield and surrounding towns the opportunity to connect with local special needs service providers.

Participating providers represent a wide range of service areas, including recreation, social support, mental health, health and well-being, therapy, advocacy, financial counseling, transition, education, mentoring and others.

Admission is free for all current Fairfield SEPTA members, and $10 for non-members, who can join SEPTA at the door. Click here to find out how to become a member.

No fair would be complete without fun prizes, and the SEPTA fair is no exception, including the giveaway of a Kindle HD to one lucky SEPTA member.

Other prizes include great items and services generously donated by providers, such as a fishing trip, two hardcover copies of an Ann Ford’s book, a seat for the upcoming Wrightslaw conference (including books and materials), and more.

Names of prize winners will be chosen randomly between 8:30 and 9 pm. Winners must be present to claim their prizes.

Refreshments will be served in the cafeteria, and child care will be available in the library.

The deadline for service providers to register for the event is Monday, Oct. 6.  Tables for providers must be reserved by Monday; walk-ins will not be permitted. If payment arrangements need to be made, please email [email protected]
