A pear-shaped diamond ring larger than this one was reported lost by a former resident of a Harbor Road house.

A former resident of a Harbor Road house reported to police on Wednesday that she lost a ring valued at $38,000 while living in the house in June.

The woman told police that the ring had an 18-karat gold band and a 4.97-karat yellow, pear-shaped diamond, in a platinum setting.

The former resident said she was now living in another Connecticut town, according to the report.
