Jack Dailey finds paydirt, Ludlowe defeats Harding 47-40

Jack Dailey scored on a 5-yard run with 25 seconds remaining to fire the final salvo in an FCIAC football scoring shootout, as coach Vin Camera’s Fairfield Ludlowe Falcons defeated the Harding High Presidents, 47-40, at Hedges Stadium in Bridgeport on Thursday.
Bryan Pacewicz threw four touchdown passes, three to Patrick O’Leary, for Ludlowe (3-1), which had been stunned in similar fashion a week earlier by Bridgeport Central.
Greg Buturla caught an 8-yard throw from Pacewicz to open the scoring, as the team’s traded touchdowns.
Pacewicz hooked up with O’Leary from 22 yards out to give the Falcons a 26-24 halftime lead.
The duo connected on a 15-yarder to open the third quarter, but Harding’s ability to convert conversions for two points gave them the extra points necessary to offset Ludlowe’s one-touchdown edge.
Tied at 32 after three quarters, Pacewicz threw a touchdown pass of 31 yards to O’Leary and Mitch Wykoff caught the two-point conversion.
Harding answered, as Taisun Phommachanah threw his third touchdown pass to reknot the game before Ludlowe put the final points on the scoreboard.
