Cook-Littman understands residents’ concerns

To the Editor:

I hope you will join me in voting for Tara Cook-Littman to represent us in the 134th State Representative District.

Tara Cook-Littman, like me, is a parent with children in the Fairfield public school system. Tara knows the challenges that face parents today, and to have concerns about the direction of our education system.

When it comes to education, Tara does not just sit back and hope everything works out for the best. She knows that change for the better takes hard work. I have personally seen her work so hard, year after year, for our kids. She is always at town meetings, often into the late hours, listening to the issues facing residents of our great town. We need Tara Cook-Littman in Hartford fighting for our kids.

Her confidence, energy and self-assuredness is complimented by her ability to listen to others and understand their concerns. And she really does understand our concerns.

I have gotten to know Tara through her active involvement in the Fairfield PTA Council. Since 2012, she has served as the chair for the Fuel for Learning Partnership, a PTA-sponsored organization dedicated to making sure our kids are being served healthy school lunches. I know that Tara was also instrumental in creating a preschool at the Congregation Beth El and was one of its founding members.

I have seen Tara’s infectious enthusiasm at Fairfield school meetings. Her positivity is needed in a state where it is easy to say that some problems are too big or too complex to be fixed. Tara will not accept that.

I urge all those with concerns about the Fairfield education system to vote for Tara Cook-Littman on Nov. 4.
