Mill Plain Road closed after cement truck rolls

Monday, Sept. 22, 12:42 p.m.: Metro-North has found no track damage after a cement truck struck the Mill Plain Road bridge Monday.

Traffic headed south on Mill Plain Road is being detoured onto I-95 while the truck is removed.

Monday, Sept. 21, 12:21 p.m.: Mill Plain Road is closed after a cement truck struck the the rail overpass.

The truck, too tall to get under the bridge, partially overturned when it hit the trestle carrying tracks over Mill Plain Road and was knocked from upright.

Officials are checking to see if the bridge has been compromised by the accident. Metro-North has been notified to have trains be careful in the area, but there have yet to be any delays.
