Notre Dame loses high-scoring game with Bethel

The Notre Dame of Fairfield football team lost to visiting Bethel High, 66-36, on Saturday.
Hakim Fleming scored four touchdowns for coach Ted Boynton’s 0-2 Lancers against the 2-0 Wildcats.
Fleming’s 6-yard run narrowed the deficit to 13-6, and his 1-yard run followed by Shea Olayo’s two-point conversion pass to T.J. McMillan made it 20-14 after one quarter.
Olayos connected with Antonio Addorisio for a 51-yard touchdown, and Bill Kelly ran for the two-point conversion, to give Notre Dame a 22-20 lead.
Bethel, led by Will Daniels, scored the five touchdowns to go in front 53-22.
Fleming scored on runs of 2 and 4 yards and Olayos found McMillan for a two-point conversion in the final period.
