Nine returnees to lead Green Dragons

The Greens Farms Academy girls soccer team is looking forward to the 2013 season, the first under new head coach Paul Hennessey, who joins coaches Tauni Butterfield and Jen Doughty on the coaching staff.
With the team returning nine players, the Lady Dragons have their sights on the FAA and New England tournaments.
Leading the defensive team will be juniors Erin Reilly (Fairfield) and Ingrid Backe (Fairfield) and goalkeeper Lexi Kimball (Fairfield) with senior Daly Naughton and freshman Sophia Poli (Fairfield) adding support.
Among those vying for spots in the midfield are seniors Campbell Goldsmith, Elettra Baldi, junior Ellie Wong, freshman Alexis Messina and sophomores Michaela Cohen, Barbara Duncan and Blair Marine.
Freshman Bella Litt, sophomore Lily Goldsmith  and senior Olivia Lennon (Southport) will lead the line up front.
After a busy preseason program, GFA opens up its season at The Harvey School on Sept. 10, with its home opener against Ethel Walker on Sept. 13, at 2:30 p.m.
