Webelos Pack 95 of North Stratfield School collected cartons of children’s books and toiletries to help children and their families in the region who are being affected by domestic violence for The Center for Family Justice.

An increase of children in the region have been affected as primary and secondary victims this year and, under the leadership of Den Leader Andrea Ward, this project to help those in town and in the greater Bridgeport region was adopted by this Cub Scout Pack.

The Center for Family Justice, which provides free and confidential services to those being affected by both domestic and sexual violence, serves Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford and Trumbull.

Last year, the agency provided more than 10,000 services, which also includes prevention education to schools, community groups and college campuses.

“This generous project will help the many children and families who will be provided with children’s books at our Safe House, Walk-in Clients or Support groups and the toiletries have been diminished dramatically the past few months and we are extremely grateful for Pack 95 and their efforts to help us serve our clients” said Debra Greenwood, chief executive officer and president of The Center for Family Justice.
