Fairfield police arrested 24-year-old Brittany Ann Hacker on Monday on charges of leaving a child unsupervised and risk of injury to a minor.

According to police reports, Easton police were called to 95 East Common Road in Easton over a domestic dispute that developed when Brittany Ann Hacker came to pick up her one-and-a-half year-old son from her husband’s house at that address.

During the course of the investigation, Hacker told police that the couple’s four-year-old daughter had been left in the care of a friend at the Fairfield Inn on Post Road in Fairfield, where Hacker had been staying due to ongoing arguments between the couple.

Easton police asked the Fairfield Police Department to conduct a welfare check on the child at the motel. When officers arrived, they found the child alone in the room. The child said she did not know the friend her mother had told police she left her with.
Hacker was held on $25,000 bond; she is due in court on Aug. 25.
