Raymond R. Sizensky, Sr.

Raymond R. Sizensky, Sr., age 75, of Pompano Beach, FL., formerly of Fairfield and Seymour, CT. cherished husband of Jacklynn (Markoja) Sizensky, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family following his courageous battle with Mesothelioma.

Raymond was born in Bridgeport,CT on November 13, 1938 son of the late Steven and Margaret ( Cherasky) Sizensky. Brother of the late William Sizensky and the nephew of the late Nicholas and Helen Canyuch.

Raymond was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd of Seymour. Raymond was employed by DuPont for over 25 years in the Fairfield plant and was also an active union member. He stayed on when the plant was sold for another 13 years and helped with the difficult transition.

Ray was instrumental as UAW union president and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fairfield. Ray was President of the Seymour Football Club and in retirement a member of the Sunshine Seniors Softball League of Pompano Beach, FL.

His loving family includes his wife of 53 years, Jacklynn and his daughters Jill M. Sizensky (Kevin Barton) of Durham, CT., and Judith Sizensky Searles (Robert) of Shelton, CT and his son Raymond R. Sizensky, Jr. (Courtney) of Jupiter,FL., and his cherished grandchildren Jordan T. Barton, Jenna M. Barton and Gavin P. Sizensky.

A Memorial Mass in Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 9,2014 at 10:00 am DIRECTLY in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours
