State Rep. Kim Fawcett and Fairfield Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Beverly Balaz recently recognized Coreen’s Bridge Floral with a Women’s Economic Spotlight award.

Fawcett and the chamber teamed up more than a year ago in an effort to lift up women-owned businesses and put a spotlight on their contribution to the town’s economy and diverse fabric of small businesses.

“We want to infuse energy and praise into these women who are running businesses in our town and just lift them up and say ‘thank you’ in a special way,” said Fawcett, who presented the award.

Coreen’s Bridge Floral is not new to Fairfield, but over the past two years owner Coreen Pace has been reinventing the business from its new location in Greenfield Hill.

“It’s more than floral arrangements. Coreen’s has a beautiful array of gifts on the go and is a Vera Bradley dealer, too. It’s the perfect spot to stop in and find that just right present,” said Fawcett.
