Decision on Fairfield fireworks to be made Friday

Fairfield officials will make a decision Friday, July 4, about whether to proceed with fireworks on Independence Day or postpone them to Saturday, July 5.

Fairfield Police posted the following on Facebook Wednesday evening:

Based on the potential storm, the Town will make a decision by 1 pm on Friday, July 4, 2014 on whether or not to postpone the Fireworks to Saturday, July 5.

On Friday afternoon, the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department will issue a statement on when the Fireworks will be held and will provide this information on their website, the Town’s website, to the press and on a voice recording at (203) 256-3144. We will also share any decision made on our website and social media outlets.
