Tomorrow: Relay starts at 6 p.m. at Ludlowe

Relay For Life Fairfield will be held Saturday, June 7, starting at 6 p.m. at Fairfield Ludlowe High School, 785 Unquowa Road.

Relay For Life is an overnight celebration where people take turns walking or running around a track “relay” style to raise funds to fight cancer. The idea is to enjoy one’s time, dance, play games, and enjoy the presence of others all while raising money to support the American Cancer Society. One of the many highlights of the event is the luminaria ceremony, or candlelight vigil, held at nightfall to honor cancer survivors and remember those lost to cancer. Every event includes a full day of entertainment and activities.

Connecticut residents can join the fight against cancer by visiting to register. Funds raised support cancer research grants and free services such as wigs, makeovers, support groups and lodging.
